Submission & Evaluation process
Purpose : Aix-Marseille Université is opening applications for granting and paying funds for the traineeship period of students enrolled in Master 2 « Biology & Health », study-track « Biomarkers and AI » at the Faculty of Medical & Paramedical Sciences.
The hosting organism : The aim of the action is to provide the allocation required during the training period in work-placement by the French Law regarding traineeships lasting more than 2 months, which must be paid in the form of daily allowance for work-placement (4,35 €/ hours) for a actual working time not exceeding 10 hours per day. Legal working week cannot exced 35 hours.
The principles and procedure for awarding funding is granted through a list of internships, which are proposed in line with the thematic area of the programme AI and Health and its implementation. Combination with another European funded grant, such as the allowance awarded as part of the mobility for traineeship within the Programme Erasmus+ is not allowed, due to the question of possible double-funding.
Applications : The student interested by an internship must be enrolled in Master 2 « Biology & Health », study-track « AI and biomarkers » at Aix-Marseille Université to acquire academic qualifications corresponding to this level. Applicants must send the following documents :
The completed form and attachments, which must be returned by e-mail to Mrs Nicole Haroun : nicole.haroun@univ-amu.fr , project manager for the European project « AI and Health ».
The attachments are a cover letter explaining the motivations to undertake a traineeship, a CV, a traineeship agreement (the form of Aix-Marseille Université is available on the link : aiandhealth.eu ), proof of liability insurance, copy of the student card or certificate of enrolment at the university and ID card. The traineeship period must be in line with the objective of the Master :
Selection criteria : the choice of the location of the traineeship is the prevailing factor in deciding who gets the scholarship, depending on the location of the traineeship on the French mainland and oversea territories or in a third country not associated to the Programme Erasmus+. The decision of awarding the allowance is made on the basis of traineeship requirements, merit and individual qualifications of the student.
Weight of evaluation criteria :
The applications of successful candidates are selected by representatives of the pedagogical team of the Master « Biology & Health », which comprises at least 3 members of the pedagogical team, including one representative from the Institut Laënnec.
Payment arrangements : the student is paid by Aix-Marseille Université, according to the time spent in the hosting organism and declared in the time sheet for work placement payment.
Maximum budget of this call : 210 000 euros
Amount of monthly allowance for the traineeship : between 487,20 euros (16 days) and 639,45 euros (20 days)
